Infection Control Coordinator - RN

Top Ten performing VA facility seeks dynamic, well trained and experienced nurse to continue developing an outstanding hospital epidemiology program with excellent historical performance. This is a top 100 most wired facility. Excellent staff and collaboration. The incumbent will insure high quality nursing practices to prevent and control transmission of infection in all phases of adult life cycle. Serves as consultant and resource person to all medical center personnel. Collaborates with other health professionals. Develops and implements educational programs for patients, families, personnel and volunteers. M-F. No weekends or holidays. Current RN license, any state acceptable. Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health or other related BSN is preferred with approx. 5 yrs expr. With demonstrated clinical/hospital experience and competence in Infection Control and Epidemiology. Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology from the Certification Board of Infection Control & Epidemiology preferred.
