Under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse, the Chemical dependency Tech will work in the Harborview Recovery Department will perform various duties to assist the nursing staff in meeting patient treatment and care requirements. Facilitates unit programming as needed and provides support and structure to ensure consistency of unit programming activities. Able to perform clerical duties as needed.
Minimum of a High School Diploma/equivalency required. Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Bachelors degree in psychology preferred. 1-3 years in the Chemical Dependency treatment setting (inpatient or outpatient) required. CPR certification required.
