- Lab Manager
POSITION PURPOSE
Provides administrative supervision for multiple laboratory sections. Manages the use of resources and is accountable for day to day operation. Assesses routine laboratory operations and initiates appropriate corrective action in order to maintain and improve laboratory services and patient care.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION · Must have a four year degree from an accredited college or university in science, medical technology, or a related field preferred.
· Requires a valid current license issued from the State Department of Health as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
· Graduate degree or course work preferred.
· LA Fire card within 30 days of hire.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED · Minimum of five years current and continuous experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in an acute care hospital
· Three years of experience as a section supervisor or lead technologist.
· Computer experience or course work in computer.
