We are seeking a remarkably skilled Microbiology Laboratory Manager to supervise a team of 60 dedicated, visionary and clinically astute professionals. Reporting to the Laboratory Director and Associate Director, you will maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, ensure personnel competency and implement educational, quality assurance, financial and operational programs. You will utilize the latest and finest technology, housed in a state-of-the-art 24-hour facility renowned for rapid provision of vital information to clinical teams.
In an environment led by doctoral-level professionals, you'll find numerous opportunities for continued education and advancement. You'll engage in the latest medical microbiology techniques, including 16s rRNA sequencing and other molecular assays that contribute to top quality patient care.
To qualify, you must have a master's degree, NYS clinical laboratory licensure, and supervisory experience in microbiology. Preferred candidates will have outstanding communication skills and administrative capabilities, as well as experience preparing spreadsheets and financial reports. Flexibility to work weekends and other shifts will be required.
