Job Description: Current Calif. RN Lic./MSN/graduate of state approved Nurse Practitioner program in adult and/or acute care specialty, along with continuing education requirements. National board cert. in specialty. Prescribing license issued by the State of California and personal DEA number. Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in the care and medical management of cardiovascular patients. Ability to interpret 12-lead ECG's is essential. Evidence of satisfactory performance and completion of proctoring requirements. You will work in collaboration with medical and hospital staff to provide quality nursing care to all patients in accordance with professional regulatory standard. The primary role of this position will be supervising all cardiac treadmill and pharmacologic stress testing. Scope of practice will also include all standard nursing needs for the Nuclear Medicine department, including but not limited to, IV insertions and non-radiopharmaceutical administrations. Position requires critical thinking skills, professionalism, and mature judgment while utilizing the nursing process to meet patient care needs safely and efficiently. Maintains patient privacy, dignity, safety, supports the mission of Hoag Hospital, and maintains a working knowledge of departmental standards, policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
