Complete Description
Planning, directing, implementing, evaluating, and reevaluating the perioperative care given to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in the CVOR. Assisting surgeon in performing cardiothoracic surgery.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license in the State of Georgia. Completion of an AORN-accredited RN First Assistant program, which includes didatic and clinical components. Must complete the didactic portion prior to being placed in the job and the clinical requirements within one year in order to remain in the job. Current BCLS, ACLS and CNOR certifications. Three years experience in perioperative cardiothoracic nursing. Able to work in a stressful environment. Able to respond appropriately to emergencies and/or difficult situations. Effective written and oral communication skills. Willingness to participate in a call rotation and work irregular hours as necessary.
