Complete Description

Performing analytical procedures that regularly require a professional level of knowledge to execute, interpret, and/or analyze, especially those results that are abnormal or atypical.

Bachelor of Science degree from a recognized college or university in science, biomedics, or a closely-related field. One year of supervised clinical experience in an approved clinical laboratory. Certification as a medical technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent organization. Current licensure as a technologist by the State of Georgia. This position requires a theoretical or conceptual understanding of the techniques, methods, and instrumentation utilized in the modern clinical laboratory. Ability to communicates in an effective manner and work effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy. (Prefer proven HLA experience in progressive laboratory).
