RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Administration of areas of assigned responsibility; defining and maintaining standards of practice for service delivery and organizational performance strategies consistent with Piedmont Fayette Hospital. Responsible for establishing objectives in collaboration with other clinical and operational stakeholders including key physicians and other health care disciplines involved in the management of the services population. Serves as part of a collaborative management team focused on promoting the Mission, Vision, and Values of Piedmont Healthcare and Piedmont Fayette Hospital, and assigned services, embracing a person-centered philosophy while promoting services across the continuum and enhancing value-driven outcomes. Responsible for designing the organizational structure to support services for department's populations, ensuring high quality patient care and enhancing accountability for value-driven outcomes. This person works closely with the CNO and other nursing directors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Current nursing licensure in the state of Georgia, a Bachelor of Science degree or Master of Science degree is preferred. Must have a working knowledge of the health care industry with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience and 5 years management experience preferred. Has a thorough knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures and organizational structure. Is a visionary leader who identifies opportunities for improved customer value and building collegial relationships to achieve value-driven outcomes. Possesses leadership qualities consistent with creativity, innovation, collaboration and critical thinking. Has the ability to coach, mentor and empower staff to do their work. Ability to perform under stressful and changing circumstances and deadlines. Prefer candidates with nursing director level experience.
