RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Planning, directing, implementing, evaluating, and reevaluating the perioperative care given to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in the Orthopedics Department. Assisting surgeon in performing orthopedic surgery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license in the State of Georgia. Current BCLS and ACLS required. Three years experience needed in perioperative orthopedic patient care. Effective written and oral communication skills. Willingness to participate in a call rotation and work irregular hours as necessary.
Completion of an AORN-accredited RN First Assistant program required, which includes didatic and clinical components. Must complete the didactic portion prior to being placed in the job and the clinical requirements within one year in order to remain in the job.
