RESPONSIBLE FOR: The Direct and/or indirect holistic nursing care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients while in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, and for the direction and guidance of ancillary staff assigned to him/her, including Clinical Partners, Cardiac Anesthesia Partners, and Operating Room Technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with current R.N. licensure in the state of Georgia. Experience in perioperative nursing or successful completion of an approved perioperative training course preferred. Thorough knowledge of principles of asepsis and current techniques in perioperative nursing preferred. Able to work in a stressful environment. Able to respond appropriately to emergencies and/or difficult situations. Willingness to participate in a call rotation and work irregular hours as necessary. BCLS certified and ACLS certification within a year of hire.
